Detalles del empleo:

The Skywalker Sound Development Group is seeking a strategic, highly technical product leader to join our team as a Senior Product Manager. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a critical bridge between product vision and market execution, ensuring our most valuable clients can seamlessly adopt and scale the CODA software platform within their complex production environments.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining the integrated strategy and cross-functional alignment of our client solutions. You will serve as the primary product liaison for key accounts, leveraging your deep technical expertise to drive alignment and influence across our Sales, Support, and Software Development teams.

This role is based in Los Angeles, which means the employee will work remotely on an ongoing basis from Los Angeles and will not have an assigned workspace at a Company designated location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Client Liaison: Lead high-value client engagement as the product partner, leveraging deep domain expertise to align client operational needs with the long-term engineering roadmap and corporate goals.

  • Cross-Functional Strategy & Influence: Drive alignment and secure buy-in across Sales, Support, and Software Development to ensure scalable solutions and consistent deployment standards.

  • Workflow Architecture: Define and govern large-scale client deployment strategies, focusing on platform adoption that solves complex, systemic production challenges.

  • Product Voice of the Customer (VoC) & Prioritization: Transform synthesized client feedback and market analysis into prioritized, actionable product requirements, effectively balancing custom solutions with core product stability.

  • Implementation Governance: Oversee the product-side deployment and configuration strategy for major accounts, ensuring optimization for specific hardware and network environments while establishing best practices.

  • Knowledge Scaling & Enablement: Develop and lead advanced product workshops and high-level technical documentation to scale product knowledge internally and mentor client-side technical leads.

  • Executive Relationship Management: Proactively manage technical and strategic friction points to maintain high-level client retention and identify new growth opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Product Leadership: 8+ years of progressive experience in Product Management, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Account Management, ideally driving strategy within the media, entertainment, or creative tech sectors.

  • Domain Expertise: Extensive knowledge of digital media ecosystems, professional media pipelines, and complex content solutions, including immersive audio (e.g., DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, Dolby ATMOS) and high-volume content delivery.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong grasp of cloud architecture, API integrations, and scalable system configuration. Deep understanding of Linux environments and basic scripting (Python or Bash) is highly preferred.

  • Strategic Problem Solving: Proven ability to manage high-pressure, high-stakes client engagements and translate complex workflow challenges into prioritized, elegant product features.

  • Executive Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear strategic narratives for both engineering teams and senior executive stakeholders.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Sound Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience in high-end production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Media Tech Background: Significant experience with industry-standard audio/video tools such as Pro Tools, Media Composer, or high-performance rendering engines.

  • Strategic Toolkit: Proficiency in Agile toolsets (Jira, Productboard, or Zendesk) for managing end-to-end product lifecycles, from strategic planning to feature requests and incident management.

  • DevOps Literacy: Familiarity with modern cloud deployment strategies, including containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Agile Leadership: Proven experience as a Certified Scrum Product Owner/Leader in an Agile/Scrum environment, successfully navigating the friction between custom client requests and core product stability.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles is $117,500-$157,500. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
