  • Familiarity with data integration/ETL concepts; ability to read or design simple data mappings.

  • Strong analytical and debugging skills with close attention to data accuracy and edge cases.

  • Clear written communication: able to document steps, results, and recommendations for technical and non‑technical partners.

  • Interest in HR technology and data privacy; willingness to follow established security and compliance practices.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Intermediate SQL proficiency: multi‑table joins, subqueries/CTEs, window functions, set operations; understanding of normalization vs. denormalization; awareness of indexing and basic query performance considerations; comfort with transactions and constraints.

  • Coursework or project experience building or contributing to web applications using ASP.NET/C# or Python (Flask/Django), or front‑end frameworks (React/Angular); exposure to unit testing and secure coding basics.

  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows (branches and pull requests).

  • Awareness of cloud fundamentals (Azure or AWS) and how apps use managed databases, storage, and identity.

  • Exposure to enterprise HR systems (Workday, SAP) or interest in the HRIS domain.
