Department Description:

At Disney, we’re storytellers. We make the impossible, possible. The Walt Disney Company is a world-class entertainment and technological leader. Walt’s passion was to continuously envision new ways to move audiences around the world—a passion that remains our touchstone in an enterprise that stretches from theme parks, resorts and a cruise line to sports, news, movies and a variety of other businesses. Uniting each endeavor is a commitment to creating and delivering unforgettable experiences — and we’re constantly looking for new ways to enhance these exciting experiences.

The Enterprise Technology mission is to deliver technology solutions that align to business strategies while enabling enterprise efficiency and promoting cross-company collaborative innovation. Our group drives competitive advantage by enhancing our consumer experiences, enabling business growth, and advancing operational excellence.

What You’ll Do:

The Senior Product Manager - Corporate Technology will drive strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise HR and payroll solutions that support Disney's global workforce and corporate functions. Operating within Disney Corporate, this role connects innovative technology with world-class business operations to help keep The Walt Disney Company at the leading edge of entertainment and enable storytellers around the globe.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for shaping and executing the roadmap for ERP-based HCM, Org, payroll, and related integrations, partnering closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Enterprise Technology teams.

You will solve complex problems, mentor less-experienced colleagues, and provide thought leadership on enterprise-scale integrations and enhancements, ensuring solutions are effective, extensible, and aligned to Disney's strategic objectives as a global, innovative entertainment company.

This role matters because it ensures critical HR and payroll platforms are reliable, scalable, and continuously improved, requiring a proficient, effective problem-solver who can work independently while collaborating across a highly matrixed organization.

  • Analyze enhancement requests, determine functional requirements and integration challenges, and design solutions to address those requirements.
  • Lead testing efforts, including developing and monitoring test preparation and execution, to ensure successful release of production updates.
  • Partner with DevOps teams to architect enterprise-scale integrations and extensible applications that support core HR, Org, payroll, benefits, and reporting processes.
  • Provide thought leadership on enterprise projects as an integration subject matter expert from requirements gathering through post-implementation support.
  • Ensure project milestones, goals, and tasks are met in a timely manner, managing risks, issues, and dependencies across teams.
  • Drive conversations to determine the best technical solutions, providing viable alternatives and balancing business needs, technical feasibility, and long-term maintainability.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ERP systems including SAP S/4 HR and Workday, guiding design decisions, integrations, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize backlogs, and align product roadmaps with enterprise strategies and standards.
  • Act as a resource and informal mentor for colleagues with less experience, sharing best practices in product management, integrations, and enterprise HR technology.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in ERP systems: SAP S/4 HR (HCM, Org, Payroll) and Workday.
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in product management, enterprise HR technology, or closely related domains.
  • Strong foundation in technology and processes in HCM, Org, payroll, benefits, integrations, and reporting.
  • Proven experience in process improvement and driving technology or process changes that increase effectiveness of products and platforms.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and interface with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, multi-task, and change course of action quickly in an agile or fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and tools such as JIRA or similar.
  • Experience working in large, multi-national enterprises with complex HR, payroll, or finance landscapes.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
